Widow Christmas Bags

The follwoing posts are the pictures of the Widow ladies, the bags and the gifts that all of you contributed.  The bags turned out so nice and all of the gifts were just perfect.

I'm not very good with the words to express my thanks to ALL of you for your contribution to this project.  My intention was to give to these ladies to bless them and to let them know they are loved.  I believe when I delivered them that they were received with just that, love and blessings not only from me, but from every one of YOU.  This is not the end....just the beginning.

Thank you so much for the Thanksgiving boxes and the Christmas bags and my prayer is that the Lord will bless and keep each one of you.  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Happy New Year.

The following 3 posts are pictures of our precious Widow ladies.  I wish you all could have been with me when I delivered the bags.  All of the ladies were so surprised, excited and they loved all of the gifts that you gave.  They ALL say thank you.

Thank you Christina for your donation of the beautiful bags for the ladies.

Tried to get the best picture I could of the inside of the bag with all the stuff in it.  There are inside pockets and I put the braclet, gift card/hand cream, suncatcher in them.  Each purse has a separate clear bag and I put the lip balm/lotion/nail file in it.
THNAK YOU ladies for all of the wonderful gifts.  The Widow ladies were so excited and loved them ALL.

White for my Savior who’s SINLESS and pure!  “J” is for Jesus, My Lord that’s for sure!  Turn it around and a STAFF you will see, Jesus my Shepherd IS COMING FOR ME!

These are sock snowman stuffed with rice that I made. 

Kim gave the ladies lip balm, hand lotion & a really neat nail file.  All in Christmas decor.

I covered Jr legal pads and made them into a book. 

Adorable oven mits given by Heather Ficklin.  They contain a mix that will give them a delicious cookie they can bake for Christmas.  I pre-baked the cookies for Lucille and put them in a Christmas tree printed zip lock bag.

Beautiful sun catchers given by Robin Field.  They will be so attractive hanging in a window in the ladies home.  Thanks Robin!!

These items were given by Teresa D Anza.  Cheesecake Factory gift card & hand creme.  Mmmmmm cheesecake.

Bugles: Shaped like a cornucopia, a symbol

sweetens our lives.

Monogram Kleenex Boxes

Simmering Spices in a Jar  The contents are dried oranges/apples, cinnamon sticks & whole cloves.  Place in a crock pot on high till steaming. Remove the lid and your house will begin to smell like fall.

Tea - Untie the bow at the top/bottom and it unfolds and shows a package of flavored tea bags inside.  The color of the folder indicates the flavor of the tea.  Lucille got the red one because she loves peppermint.  Yep the tea was peppermint!!

Popcorn Bag wrap  

Apple Cider - Individual apple juice bottle and I attached a pouch (it's under the instruction tag) of brown sugar, cinnamon stick & whole cloves.  Mmmmm good!!

Fall Bean Soup Mix & instructions - I layered the beans & spices in two separate zip lock baggies and placed them in a brown lunch bag.  Thank you to those ladies who donated all the beans for this.

Here's the box full of all the goodies and it all tied up ready for delivery.    "Happy Thanksgiving" was on the long flaps and "You Are"  "Loved" on the short flaps.  All of the ladies were so very thankful for them.
